Emily and Fin

Sorry it has been such a very long time since I last blogged. Let me make up for it now with some excellent news: we now stock Emily and Fin!

So far we have four styles, although I believe we are expecting some more any day now. Today I am wearing this:
Emily and Fin Lucy, purpleLucy dress, purples, £49

It also comes in this colourway, which I may get if I have a moment of bravery (not sure I'd feel comfortable with something so bright although the girls keep saying it will look fab with my colouring):
Emily and Fin Lucy, pinks
Something I didn't even realise about the dress until about an hour ago is that it has pockets!! Brilliant. I do like a good hidey-hole for secret Maoam etc.

Right, tons to do, got some new Little Mistress dresses which unfortunately the suppler doesn't provide images of, so it's up to me to photograph and edit. I hope you're all looking forward to the hilarious blurred edges and seeing parts of the mannequin through the dress because they're all made of floaty see-throughy material. Must get round to a Photoshop course.

Happy Easter!

Pretty Spring Dresses

Morning morning.

Please forgive my absence, I'd like to start making a list of excuses but let's face it...I've just been busy trying on all of the new clothes and generally playing around with pretty new jewellery and trying to decide which new Orla Kiely wallet to buy.

But anyway, I have finally exhausted these activities, and here's the proof:

Fever Bluebell dress, £69 - perfect for weddings

Darling Adele dress, £55 - so cute for a date in the sunshine

Fever Le Mans shift dress, £65 - ideal for adding a splash of colour to your office wardrobe.

Also Nica Bowie Tote, £75 - gorgeous whether you're wearing a suit or jeans.

There are more but I'm starting to feel extraordinarily self-conscious so let's stop there!!!

Anyway, take a look at our new Spring clothes and if you're in the market for a bargain then check out the updated sale part of our website. I will be back on the blog now, I promise! Let's do a competition soon, yeah??

Comments are welcome. Abuse about how un-photogenic I am is not. xx

Aspire Style launch party review!

Last Saturday was the grand opening of our Solihull shop, and last night we had a little party to celebrate! Thanks to everyone who came - we really appreciated all of your support, and hope you enjoyed the bubbly, goody bags and of course the discount!!

Firstly, thanks to the excellent photographer Karen Massey for coming along in the day and taking lots and lots of lovely snaps!

Secondly, thanks to my lovely Twitter/Blog/Facebook friends who managed to come to the event, it was so wonderful to put faces to names!

Second Hand Shopper Caroline has written a fab review but I haven't read it all because I got distracted by "Caroline's Cakery" and then in turn by the frequent use of the word "Nutella" and something spinachy that looks unbelievably delicious.

Crazy Roisin has also found the time to stop trying on pretty dresses and write something ;o) I wish you'd shown me the black with white shoulder-drape situation Vintage Allure one because you look GORGEOUS in that photo! But the Ethel looked equally beautiful.

And Molly Louise, I know you live in the Outer Hebrides or similar, so you had a good excuse for not showing up, but we do love your blog and those shoes look truly magnificent on The Princess pedals.

Well, at the risk of sounding like Porky Pig, "That's all, Folks" x

Charming at Aspire Style

Those of you who are regular visitors to our shops or website will have noticed a new addition to the Brands section in the form of Charming - a beautiful range of clothing new in for Autumn/Winter '10.  Charming, a London-based brand, was formed in 2009 and their collection is "inspired by bohemian styled clothing with a fresh new twist".  Their fabulous coats are already flying off the rails as our customers prepare for the cooler months, with the vivid Taylor coat (£79) proving particularly popular:

We've also had a lot of customers interested in the Georgia dress (£59), with its stunning appliqué flower detail...

...and the Rhonda jacket (£69), which would look stunning atop any outfit on a night out:

Check out the whole range here, and don't forget to pop over to our New In section for the latest items to drop at Aspire Style!

Until next time,

Ria
